SQL Server Database Developer with Markit EDM (Ref.LO2433)

BRINE SA is currently looking for a developer for the following role:

Role:

The Markit EDM/SQL Server Database Developer will work in Prague with Zurich-based technical and business staff to develop enhancements to the existing reference data solution (“CADIS”) and provide 3rd level business as usual (BAU) support as required. Development would be in an agile-like way with regular releases (at least 4 per year). As a member of the team the role would also require the ability to mentor junior members of the Prague-based team and liaise with the Zurich technical management to meet deadlines.

Technical platform:

Markit EDM v10.5, Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Enterprise, MS Queue, Windows 2012

Requirements:

• Some year’s proven experience developing with Markit EDM
• Proven experience developing T-SQL (preferably MS-SQL) solutions
• Proven experience of leading a team/mentoring team members
• Proven experience working with all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Financial services experience ideally in Equities, Bonds and/or Indices
• Fluent English
• Team player
• Education to degree level

Nice to have:

• Experience developing with other programming languages such as C#, C++,
• Proven experience with reporting solutions using SSRS and/or Web Services (WSDL)
• Experience developing data warehouse solutions
• Some experience designing workflow-based solutions with Markit EDM
• Business analysis and/or requirements engineering experience
• German
